This right hand drive 1967 Jaguar 420G is the result of a painstaking "ground-up" restoration. The blueprinted
4.2 liter engine has three 2" SU carbs (equivalent to an XKE engine). All parts have been stripped to
bare metal and repaired and refinished. All body repairs are welded steel and panel beaten. Rebuilt
items include automatic transmission, suspension, steering, alignment, and electrics. New items include
rad core, exhaust system, roof liner and all body rubbers. All 48 pieces of burled walnut trim have been
restored at a cost of $5,500. Chrome and brightwork repairs totalled $10,000 and the paintwork (hand rubbed and polished many times)
involved an expenditure of $14,000.
This Jaguar drives like a dream (600 miles since engine rebuild) and must be seen to be appreciated.
